Outstanding Contribution to Water Polo
The Outstanding Contribution to Water Polo award goes to a person who has had an outstanding contribution to the Water Polo community over a prolonged period.
The Award is selected by the Ireland Water Polo Committee and will be evaluated under one or more of the following criteria:
- Outstanding contribution to promote and foster the cause of water polo in Ireland at Club or National level.
- Outstanding contribution to the running and administration of a water polo club.
- Many years continuous service showing a consistently high level of commitment to water polo.

Water Polo Player of the year
The Water Polo Male and Female Player of the Year was introduced for the first time in 2023. The award goes to someone who has met at least two of the following criteria:
- Outstanding performance by a player in the last completed season
- Made significant progress in water polo in the last completed season
- Has shown exceptional dedication and commitment
- Exceeded expectations in their water polo performances
- Continued to uphold their part as an outstanding role model
