This year has been challenging to say the least. Covid-19 has affected our lives in many different ways, how we work, how we live and most of all how we interact with each other. The simple pleasures of life, a drink with family and friends or a training session with teammates can no longer be taken for granted.
The continuous changing of the rules and the application of new levels of lock down have been a constant challenge in trying to start a new season. The recent good news of a vaccine gives us hope that we will soon return to some level of normality whereby we will be able to train and compete with friends and colleagues bringing back the joy and laughter that we have all missed.
We hope that 2021 will bring us back to a place where we are able to socialise and interact with each other. We look forward to the day when our weekends will hold more than just a long walk and hope that a trip to the swimming pool for a game of water polo will form part of our regular activities.
In the words of Michael Jordan ‘Obstacles don’t have to stop you, if you run into a wall don’t turn around and give up, figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it’
