Ireland Water Polo National Squad Development Pathway 2023-2025
Ireland Water Polo with National Head Coach, Goran Sablic, is delighted to launch its first ever National Squad Pathway.
The document has been compiled following consultation with National and Club Coaches as well as Club Chairs and Members from across our three regions.
A targeted National Pathway/Programme is a key tactic in achieving the performance objectives set out from 2023-2025 and is fundamental in achieving targets at European and World level competition.
The aim of the pathway document is to provide clubs, coaches, athletes and parent(s)/guardian(s) with a clear plan for a two year period. It outlines the requirements for national team members, provides detail on the competition pathway and states the expectations for all team staff and athletes throughout this time.
