The 2024 Irish Senior Cup’s will take place on Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May in Bangor.
Competition format:
Men
There are 8 teams entered which structures the competition into 2 groups of 4 teams on a round robin basis. The top two teams in each group will progress to the semi finals and subsequent final.
Women
There are 6 teams entered which structures the competition into 2 groups of 3 teams on a round robin basis. The top two teams in each group will progress to the semi finals and subsequent final.

LEN have appointed the following referees for this weekends tournament:

Awards
Gold and Silver medals will be awarded in both competitions.
A Shane Moraghan (Male MVP) and Bert O’Brien (Female MVP) awards will be made for MVPs in both competitions, along with the selection of both male and female team of the tournament.
Ball size, Match Duration and Points:
Size 5 balls will be used for the Men and size 4 for the Women.
All matches will be 4×8 minutes with 2 TO’s and will be played to a definite result (PSO if a draw at full time) as per World Aquatic rules.
The group matches shall be scored as follows:
a) win in regular time = 3 points
b) win after penalty shootout = 2 points
c) loss after penalty shootout = 1 point
d) loss in regular = 0 point
In the event of a tie please refer to the tie breaking rules section. Appendix 9 Section 4 in the World Aquatic rules.
