New National Water Polo Head Coach

Ireland Water Polo are delighted to announce the appointment of our new National Head Coach Goran Sablic. Goran is currently the Irish Junior Girls Coach and Men’s Senior Coach, where he recently led the team to fourth at the FINA Challengers Trophy in Singapore.

Goran brings with him a wealth of experience from playing in his native Croatia and coaching Corrib WPC here in Ireland. He will work closely with the National age group coaches, regional and club coaches to implement the National Squad Pathway and increase the standard of water polo in Ireland. As part of that National Pathway, a new National Squad Selection Policy will be launched by the NWPC in conjunction with the National Head Coach after the recent U17 Cup.

The National Committee would like to take this opportunity to wish Goran all the best in his new role and we are looking forward to working closely with him over the coming years.
