Day 2 – U14 Cup

Day 2 sees the end of the 2025 U14 Cup here in Galway. After two days of tight group games and knockout ties, Tribes & Clonard came out as Cup winners in the girls and boys respectively.

In the girls competition, Tribes saw off Half Moon in the semi final 13-4 to seal their place in the final against Drogheda in the afternoon, with Half Moon finishing up as bronze medallists. The Cup went to Tribes with a score of 14-12 and keeping the cup stay in the West.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The boys competition saw Clonard vs Corrib A in the first semi final, ending in a 14-8 win for Clonard, with the second semi final ending in a nail-biting 15-14 win for North Dublin against Half Moon to set up the final. Bronze medallists Half Moon saw off Corrib A in a 16-4 win for third place before the last game of the day. Clonard took the Cup in another tight game versus their opponents, with the final score of 9-8.

 

Both cups were presented on the day by Ireland Water Polo President, Adrian Hanna.
