- All Coaches, Committee Members and those working with young people are required to have a valid Safeguarding certificate in place.
- We recognise safeguarding courses delivered by or on behalf of Sport Ireland and Ireland Active.
- Safeguarding courses delivered by Swim Ireland can be booked through the Swim Ireland Membership Database.

Garda Vetting and/or Access NI
- Garda Vetting through Swim Ireland is a legal requirement for all those working with young people in the Republic of Ireland.
- Access NI through Swim Ulster is a legal requirement for all those working with young people in Northern Ireland.
